  • Therapy+ is a suite of extension services to support USC students, selected by Counseling and Mental Health in USC Student Health. The Oasis Chat service provides connection to external therapist services for students. This service is provided for through the USC Student Health Fee.

  • The Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity and Norris Medical Library have partnered to bring in-person academic coaching to the USC Health Sciences Campus throughout the Fall 2023 semester.

    Meet with a learning specialist to assist in topics including:

    • time management
    • organization
    • study skills
    • stress management and more!

  • Upstanders are heroes in real life!

    When we intervene, we signal to the perpetrator that their behavior is unacceptable. If such messages are constantly reinforced within our community, we can shift the boundaries of what is considered acceptable and problem behavior can be stopped.

    Learn more in the Trojans Act Now! (CHRSH 03) Prevention Education Module. Login to MYSHR (usc.edu/myshr) and go under “Groups and Workshops” to sign up for a workshop.

    Trojans Act Now! empowers students to intervene when they witness a situation that may lead to gender- and power- based harm including sexual harassment, stalking and dating violence, and sexual assault.

  • USC TrojansALERT: The official emergency notifications system that allows university officials to contact you during an emergency by sending messages via text and/or email. New students are automatically registered.

    LiveSafe: A free  app for mobile users to initiate contact with emergency responders around UPC and HSC.

    TC4T (Trojans Care 4 Trojans): TC4T is an initiative within Student Affairs that empowers students to take action when they are concerned about a fellow Trojan.

    • PrimaryCare+ Specialties including ob-gyn, dermatology, dietician, physical therapy
    • Lab tests including basic metabolic panel, CBC, mono-spot, pregnancy test, rapid strep, urinalysis, travel clinic consult, PPD skin test, blood-borne pathogen exposure test and prophylaxis, COVID vaccine, COVID testing

    Mental Health Services at no additional cost to ALL students (even if you waived the student health

    insurance):

    • Brief counseling is offered in both virtual and in-person formats.
    • Counselors with expertise are available for BIPOC and queer students.
    • Psychiatric medication services are available.
    • Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Services clinical practice and other private options are available for longer-term therapy, use your insurance
    • On-call counselor available 24/7–call(213)740-9355 and ask to speak with a counselor

    Occupational Therapy Lifestyle Redesign Program (website)

    In-person services at 1640 Marengo St, Suite 500, and telehealth options are available.

    • OT clinicians provide individualized sessions that focus on creating healthy routines, improving time management, enhancing motivation and performance, reducing procrastination and time-wasting, and self-managing any health conditions.
    • Covered by Aetna student health insurance with a $15 co-pay per session. Other insurances vary.
    • You may need a referral from your counseling or medical provider at USC Student Health.

    The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States.

    The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis

    centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices. The new, shorter phone number makes it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services (though the previous 1 (800) 273-8255 number will continue to function indefinitely) and represents a continued commitment to those in crisis.
