Department of Radiology

We train approximately 80 to 100 medical students per year through elective and selective rotations in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, and individually tailored subspecialty programs at Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.

USC/LA General Radiology Residency: Our four-year, ACGME-accredited program achieves a 100% pass rate for both the ABR Core Examination and the ABR Certifying Examination.

Residents train at three sites on the USC Medical Campus: Los Angeles General Medical Center, a Level-I Trauma Center and one of the largest public hospitals in the country; Keck Hospital of USC, a 401-bed quaternary referral center; and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the original NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the United States. Graduates have matched to fellowship programs at USC, UCLA, Stanford, UCSF, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Yale.

Fellowship Programs: We offer ten fellowship programs with eighteen funded positions across the following subspecialties: Body Imaging and Intervention, Breast Imaging, Breast and Body Fellowship, Cardiothoracic Imaging and Intervention, Emergency and Trauma Radiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Medicine PET/CT, and Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

All fellows train alongside subspecialty faculty at Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
