Althea Alexander African Heritage

Mission

The mission of the Althea Alexander African Heritage (AAAH) IRG is to promote and advance the professional development of all faculty, staff, and trainees (e.g., fellows, residents, postdoctoral trainees) of African heritage at the University of Southern California through peer support, mentoring, networking, and educational activities.

The objectives of the AAAH IRG are as follows

Provide peer mentoring and support to USC faculty, staff, and trainees of African heritage to enhance their professional development and growth.
Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives to enhance peer support and professional development among USC faculty, students, and staff at USC.
Improve knowledge and awareness about the contribution of faculty, students, and staff of African heritage to the clinical, research, and education missions at USC.
Increase the visibility of USC faculty, students, and staff of African heritage at USC.
