MSPE & Transcript: ERAS Updates

September 05, 2025

Hello M4s!

Just wanted to provide a quick update on the upload of transcripts and MSPEs to the various residency application systems.

ERAS

Transcripts and MSPEs will be released on the national release date of September 24.

Transcript uploading has begun! We are scheduled to complete upload of all transcripts to ERAS by September 15. This is done to ensure we have all the evaluations we received in the office by August 30 uploaded to MedOasis and on your transcripts.

You may certify your application even if these documents are not uploaded! Rest assured; they will be uploaded before the national release date 😊

ResidencyCAS

Programs will begin reviewing applications on October 1

Transcripts that have been authorized for upload were completed today! Not to worry if you haven’t authorized yet, as we receive an email when you do, and we will upload.

You may submit your application without your MSPE or Transcript being uploaded, but again, we will have this done before applications are available to the programs for review.

SF Match

MSPEs won’t be released until September 24

Transcript upload has been completed.

MSPEs

The Career Advising team is hard at work completing your MSPEs. It’s their primary focus at the moment!

All students will have an opportunity to review their MSPE before it is uploaded to the respective application systems.  You will be notified by the team when your MSPE is ready.

Please refer to the MSPE policy if you have questions about your MSPE and what is included.  Two important things to note are:

  1. Narrative Assessments: Although the clerkship narratives may be edited for grammar, spelling, etc. (i.e. a student is pursuing a particular specialty)., the AAMC states that, “narrative assessments should be based on summative evaluations that are not edited for content.”
  2. AOA, Gold Humanism and Graduation with Distinction for selected students will be included in the MSPE before it is released.

We appreciate your patience and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
