Official Correspondence Policy

Policy Statement:

University email is considered the official mechanism of communication at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Department of Medical Education.

Policy Requirement:

Official correspondence from the Department of Medical Education to students will be considered to have been delivered if sent to the student’s University email (@usc.edu) account. Failure to read official university and medical school communications sent to students’ official email addresses does not absolve students from knowing and complying with the content of official communications.

Process:

Students are responsible for checking their University email on a regular basis and are expected to address messages sent to their @usc.edu account within 48 hours or as otherwise appropriate.
