Dedicated, Recognized Scholars Committed to Advancing Medicine Through Research

Postdoctoral scholars are valued not only by the Private Investigators (PI) at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute (ZNI) who rely on them, but also by the USC as a whole.

Postdoctoral scholars at ZNI continue their training and education by conducting their own experiment under the guidance of, and with ample direct interaction with, their PIs. At ZNI, PIs take a strong interest in mentorship and shaping high-quality, high-impact projects, which will prepare their postdoctoral trainees for the job market.

Our postdoctoral trainees serve one-year terms that may be renewed up to five times. They receive generous stipends, a benefits package, workshops and training, social events and specific support in applying for NIH fellowships and private fellowships.
