USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center

The USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center is a leader in cancer research, with more than 200 members investigating the complex origins and progression of cancer, developing prevention strategies and searching for cures. USC Norris is part of the Keck School of Medicine and is a NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center.

Brown Center for Cancer Drug Development at USC Norris

The Rosalie and Harold Rae Brown Center for Cancer Drug Development (CCDD) at USC Norris employs an integrated academic-industry focused management model to engage investigators from different disciplines, collapse gaps in expertise, resources, and funding, and ensure that programs have a high likelihood of progressing to late Pre-Clinical stage development and submission of an Investigational New Drug (IND) application.

Institute of Translational Genomics

The ITG serves as a catalyst for precision medicine and a home for scientific and medical experts dedicated to advancing precision medicine across all populations. Our faculty span diverse backgrounds and experience, and collectively we are committed to integrating these to improve lives by combining the best genome science with the best clinical care.

USC Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute

The mission of the USC Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute is to accelerate. the development of effective therapies for Alzheimer’s disease. The USC ATRI community innovates through widespread interdisciplinary collaboration and open data sharing across the global dementia research community to search for applicable therapeutics ranging from primary prevention methods to treatment of dementia symptoms.

Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute

The Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute is a cross-disciplinary hub for the neuroscience community at USC. Clinicians, physician scientists, and researchers and trainees at all levels—from undergraduate to graduate to postdoctoral—are forging collaborations across departments, disciplines, and schools.

USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute

The Institute aims to enhance discovery through the application of imaging and information technologies in the study of the brain. The Institute is dedicated to excellence in data acquisition, analysis, stewardship, and computational innovation for the purpose of biomedical research.

Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research

The mission of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC is to discover the cellular mechanisms that establish and renew the body’s organ systems and to apply these discoveries to treating disease. We build and share an understanding of stem cells and regenerative medicine through research, collaboration, and education.

USC Ginsburg Institute for Biomedical Therapeutics

Working at the interface of medicine and engineering, the vision of the USC Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg Institute for Biomedical Therapeutics (IBT) is to transform bioengineered neural interfaces into treatments for patients. Using an interdisciplinary approach, our mission is to further our basic understanding of debilitating neurosensory disorders, ultimately leading to the development of novel diagnostic and treatment options.

USC Roski Eye Institute

The mission of the USC Roski Eye Institute is to provide exceptional clinical care, train the future leaders in ophthalmology, and develop novel therapies in the fight against blindness. Ranked #1 in the nation in federal ophthalmology research funding, it is home to the USC Dry Eye Center of Excellence and the USC Retinal Degeneration Center.

Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute

The SC CTSI is a multifaceted resource for clinical and community-partnered translational research. SC CTSI provides pilot funding, training opportunities, clinical research support, digital recruitment methods, community connections, and many other tools to more than 800 investigators working in the Los Angeles area.

USC Diabetes & Obesity Research Institute (DORI)

Established in 2012, DORI was designed to foster interactions across disciplinary boundaries; embrace methods and techniques from diverse fields of study; and develop effective approaches to risk assessment, prevention and treatment of the international co-epidemics of diabetes and obesity.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Saban Research Institute

Research at CHLA focuses on pediatric diseases and treatments and is ranked as one of the top pediatric research programs in the nation. The Saban Research Institute manages and leads all research endeavors.
